Sounds like they’re going to make a version for each platform as they can, focusing fully on each platform and then moving on to the next one.
It’s not about any kind of favoritism, for any shallow reasons, but more personal ones to that developer, which any objective person should respect, if they’re a mature adult.

Personally I liked the look of the concept trailer they’ve shown and I can’t wait to find out more about the game.
