Nintendo Direct Announced for June 21st

The roughly 40-minute presentation premieres at 7 AM PT and mainly focuses on Nintendo Switch titles launching this year, like Pikmin 4.

After various rumors, Nintendo has officially announced a new Nintendo Direct for tomorrow, June 21st. It premieres at 7 AM PT and features 40 minutes of details focused “mainly” on upcoming Nintendo Switch titles this year. Pikmin 4 is also getting some new information.

With Pikmin 4 out on July 21st for Switch, Nintendo could release a demo, with progress carrying over into the game. Of course, a new 2D Mario and the remake of “classic” SNES title are rumored to appear. Dare we also hope for Metroid Prime 4, rebooted in January 2019 with Retro Studios at the helm? Time will tell. Also, following various retailer leaks, Atlus may finally announce Persona 3 Reload for the Nintendo Switch.

There’s also the slight of Team Cherry’s Hollow Knight: Silksong appearing. The highly-anticipated Metroidvania sequel was delayed past the first half of 2023. If ever a time to drop a new trailer and maybe announce a new release window, this would be it. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
