Despite hosting a dedicated Direct for Kirby Air Riders, Nintendo will allegedly host another in mid-September. VGC’s sources corroborated that one is reportedly planned following recent rumors about the same.
Of course, as the publication notes, there’s been a Nintendo Direct in September for the past several years (2024 excluded). Interestingly, September 13th is the anniversary of Super Mario Bros., which celebrates its 40th this year, so potential announcements could be in store.
Then again, it’s also possible that Nintendo finally announces a release date for Metroid Prime 4. Recently rated by the ESRB, the long-awaited sequel from Retro Studios is coming later this year for Nintendo Switch 1 and 2. It follows bounty hunter Samus Aran as she travels to new planet, Viewros, and gains new powers.
Furthermore, it’s the first title in the series to support mouse controls on the Nintendo Switch 2. Head here for more details, including how the Switch 2 version’s Quality Mode works.
