Nintendo Germany: 3DS sells 750k units

The 3DS has shattered all expectations in Germany, Nintendo Germany has announced. The system launched in March 25th 2011, and has managed to sell 750,000 units in the country, which is way more than any other handheld console.

Bernd Fakesch, who is the general manager of Nintendo Germany was quite pleased with sales figures and said, “The 3DS exceeded all of our expectations in Germany.”

In comparison the current gen consoles sold:

PS3 – 309,000 units

360 – 262,000 units

Wii – 800,000 units

The PS Vita’s first month’s sales for Germany aren’t known, but the system completely underperformed in France and sold just 66k units in its first month.

We will update you once Sony releases more figures for the German market. Meanwhile, the 3DS is on fire, but we already know that.
