Nintendo Hosting World’s First Super Smash Bros. 3DS Tournament at San Diego Comic Con

Get your hands dirty.

At San Diego Comic Con, Nintendo will be hosting the world’s first tournament for Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 3DS; the game is due out on October 4 worldwide, but so far, outside of screenshots and gameplay videos, no one has ever actually gotten to see the game in action. This tournament promises fans the first chance to get up close and personal with the game, just as the Smash Invitational at E3 was the first time fans got to play Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (due out in the Holiday season this year).

The 3DS tournament will be open unlike the Smash Wii U one, however, although Nintendo does warn that the total number of slots are limited, so if you want to participate, you should just show up early. Fans who just want to watch the action can follow it on Nintendo’s Twitch stream.
