The first year of the Nintendo Switch is essentially legendary tier at this point- in the first none months of the system’s existence, owners will get The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, ARMS, Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Fire Emblem Warriors, and Super Mario Odyssey– among others. Plus next year, we’ll have Metroid Prime 4, Pokemon, Yoshi, and Kirby.
So we already know that Nintendo is all in on the device. But of course, they have more, still more games that are currently in the works for the platform. Speaking to investors at their investor meeting, Nintendo confirmed that there are more unannounced Switch games still in the work- and while all the titles announced so far have a core focus, some of the unannounced ones will be more along the lines of 1, 2, Switch.
“We are working on a variety of projects now where we are asking ourselves how we can follow up on 1-2-Switch in terms of using Nintendo Switch to play differently, and what would be fun to play,” said Nintendo EPD’s General Manager Shinya Takahashi. “We are looking forward to announcing some of these projects soon.”
Whatever Nintendo is working on, we can’t wait to see what it might be- they have been on a roll lately with their output, and hopefully that continues for a good, long time now.
