Nintendo Moves Production To SEA For Two New Switch SKUs – Report

Could the rumored new models be coming soon?

We’ve been hearing for a long time that revisions of Nintendo’s current console would be coming. As early as the beginning of the year, The Wall Street Journal reported that a smaller version would be out by the end of the fiscal year (which will end on March 31 2020). Now some more things have come out to point at that even more so.

Coming again from the Wall Street Journal, they say that Nintendo has shifted it’s production for the Switch from China to unidentified areas in Southeast Asia due to the ongoing trade war between America and China that’s included multiple tariffs that will potentially affect game consoles sells. Along with that, they say that the production has already started there on both the current Switch model and the two new SKUs, speculating that it possibly means they could be introduced soon.

People have been speculating for a while about two new Switch models, a mini version with more focus on portability and a souped up ‘Pro’ model with a little extra power under the hood. We’ll have to wait and see what happens.
