The biggest mistake that Nintendo have made with their upcoming NX console so far, by popular consensus, is that they skipped showing it off at E3 this year. The biggest gaming related event of the year would have been the perfect time to debut the console and get as many eyes on it as possible- Nintendo’s insistence on not bringing it to the expo is baffling, in that light.
However, it sounds like they won’t be keeping it private much longer, either. According to a survey available for those who purchased tickets for EGX 2016, the NX might be available in some form during the event, as the survey explicitly lists it as one of the options for attendees to play.
The timeline would align pretty well, and it would also make sense for Nintendo to get the NX in the hands of as many European gamers as possible before launch, since Europe has traditionally been a weak territory for them. If this is true, then it would also give us some sort of timeframe for when we can expect the NX to be unveiled.
