Nintendo posts $900 million Loss

Earlier we reported that Nintendo was going to post a $1.3 billion loss according to Nikkei analysts. Nintendo had predicted a $600 million loss, but they posted the official figures today and the numbers are well, not as big as expected.

It’s $900 million.

Nintendo put the blame on reduced hardware and software sales along with the exchange price which brought down their profits a lot. 79 per cent of sales for Nintendo were in the US, so the impact of currency fluctuations should have been a lot.

They said that they will post a 20 billion yen loss for the entire year. The 3DS sales have improved after the price drop and they shipped 700k more compared to the last quarter.
