Nintendo Switch 2 rumours continue to gather pace, and amidst claims that the console will be announced sometime this month itself, we may also have prematurely got out first glimpse at it. Allegedly factory prototype images of the next-gen Nintendo console were seemingly leaked on Chinese social media before being shared on Reddit, showcasing a very similar design for the Switch 2 to its predecessor.
As past leaks have claimed, the leaked images show a larger 8-inch LCD screen for the console, in addition to magnetic Joy-con controllers, kickstand similar to the Switch OLED model, a new USB-C port on the top of the device, and an altered shape for the trigger buttons on the back, among other things. VGC claims it has been told by a source that the images line up with known details on the Switch 2, but the images themselves have yet to be verified.
There’s currently no word on when Nintendo intends to launch its next console, but reports have claimed it will not be releasing until April 2025 at the earliest. Read more on that through here.
