Incredibly enough, until now, if you wanted to buy something from the Nintendo eShop on the Switch, you had to input your payment details every single time. There was no option to just save your payment details for ease of checkout for subsequent purchases- which was baffling, because this is the most basic of all features an online store can have, and one that even the 3DS and Wii U had.
That glaring omission has now been fixed, because the Switch now lets you store your payment information on the system. The information is apparently stored on the system itself, and is encrypted- you can even password protect your credit card information, so that an input of a password is still required to access it at all. That’s nice of Nintendo, and should ensure that payment information does not get compromised in the event of a large scale hack.
The Nintendo Switch is now available worldwide, if you can actually track one down, that is. The system still keeps selling out as soon as it is stocked.
