And now here we are at the end of calendar 2017, and the 3DS has fallen back down after the hype of the New 2DS XL has worn off, because now 3DS after getting that Sun/Moon bump last year, now trails last year’s totals, meaning Ultra didn’t give the same bump. Media Create now lists the 3DS’s yearly sales for 2017 at 1,625,220 compared to 1,904,221 at this point last year. It’s going down, the only reason it was up in the summer was because of a new product (New 2DS XL) hitting store shelves, but it’s clear it’s a shrinking market whether fanboys will actually admit it or not.
