Nintendo Switch Reportedly Sold 7 Million Units Between October and December- Analysts

Bringing total worldwide sales to 14.6 million units...

We already know the Nintendo Switch is selling incredibly well. It is now the fastest selling system of all time in most of the world, and every day, it seems to be setting some kind of record or the other. But if these numbers are true, then its performance will have been something else entirely.

According to Japanese financial analysis firm Ace Research, the Nintendo Switch ended up selling a staggering 7 million units worldwide between October and December 2017- this means that its worldwide total as of December 31, 2018 is at 14.6 million units, or 1.3 million units more than the Wii U managed to sell over its entire four and a half year life time. Yikes.

That’s not all, either, since it puts Nintendo ahead of track in terms of beating their guidance for Switch unit sales for the financial year, with three months to spare. If these numbers are true, then Nintendo will well and truly have made a stunning comeback.
