Nintendo has released a system update for the Nintendo Switch. Update 6.2.0 is a minor one, like the last update the system got, as its version designation may have tipped you off already, and doesn’t actually add anything to the system, other than “system stability”, which is almost always euphemism for “security loopholes and backdoors were closed”.
If your Switch is set to automatically download updates in sleep mode, then the update will be downloaded for you, and all you have to do is install it when you turn your system on the next time. If not, go into system settings to download it. A new update is also available for the Joycons, so make sure to get that downloaded as well. If you don’t download it, your Switch will be unable to connect to any online service, including the eShop or your friends list.
With the Holiday season coming up, I suspect Nintendo will be pushing out more of these updates to close down any possibility of software piracy or hacking ahead of the all important shopping season.
