Rockstar’s detective action game based inspired by the noir genre L.A. Noire is coming to the Switch on November 14th. However, the game is too large in size for the Nintendo Switch. With a storage capacity of only 32 GB, the Switch will not be able to store the whole game if you buy the game digitally. With a download size of 29 GB, it is recommended that you have a Micro SD card onto which you can install the game. Rockstar gave more information about this on their official website.
This was always a big game and even on other platforms required a lot of storage space. The Switch’s limited storage capacity makes this a problem, however. The reason for this is that while the Switch has 32 GB of storage space, 6.2 GB of this space is reserved for the system.
If you’re buying a physical edition of the game, you’d still have to make a download of 14 GB that contains important gameplay data and without which the game won’t run. This is a move made by publishers so as to avoid using the larger but more expensive cartridges which have a greater storage capacity. As third-party titles such as this one and DOOM are large in size, this poses a problem for players who may now have to buy a Micro SD card so as to enjoy these games.
