Nintendo Won’t Have “Large-Scale” E3 2017 Press Conference

Further information on plans coming later.

Nintendo didn’t have a big press conference for E3 in 2016, opting for Treehouse live-streams and Nintendo Direct presentations online. It looks like that will be the theme this year as well. In its latest earnings report, the company confirmed no “large-scale” E3 presser in June.

Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima did state that, “Nintendo of America will present further information on our plans at a later date.” So there will be some kind of presence from Nintendo.

Kimishima also revealed that 1-2-Switch has almost shipped 1 million copies while Snipperclips has crossed 350,000 downloads and Super Bomberman R has almost hit 500,000 copies shipped. Given how the Switch’s highly anticipated The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sold more than 2.74 million copies, that’s not too shabby.
