A lot of third party PS4 exclusives from Japan get releases on PC, too- Street Fighter 5, for instance, is launching on PS4 and PC, while NieR Automata, which was originally announced as a PS4 exclusive, is also going to be out on PC day and date with the PS4 version. So people who are hoping for a PC version of Nioh, the upcoming action game from Tecmo that looks to be taking the best of Ninja Gaiden and Dark Souls, aren’t necessarily out of bounds.
That said, they’ll be waiting for a while, because in an interview with WCCFTech, Game Director Fumihiko Yasuda confirmed that there are no plans for a PC version of the game just yet. “We currently do not have any plans to release Nioh for PC,” he said. He also confirmed that the game would take most players quite a bit of while to get through- in terms of play time, it sounds closer to From’s Souls games than Team Ninja’s Ninja Gaiden titles.
“It will take on average around 70 hours [to complete the game],” he said.
Maybe by the time most people are done with the game on PS4, Tecmo will consider a PC port for it. Nioh releases exclusively on PS4 in February 2017.
