Team Ninja’s superlative Nioh has received some excellent post launch support, both in the form of paid DLC and add ons to supplement the experience, and free updates that have added to the original game immeasurably.
Update 1.16 falls into the latter camp, and it does add quite a few substantial things to the game. The most notable of these is probably the increased level cap- it is now up to 550, a ridiculous number that you are unlikely to reach, at least, not without a ridiculous amount of grinding (in which case… good job?). The Amrita drops by higher leveled enemies have also been adjusted towards higher yields.
Another major change includes the addition of a skill based PvP mode- you can’t access it just yet (it seems like it will be added via DLC, or some later update), but the mode has technically been added to the game with the update. Nioh launched earlier this year, in February, exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
