“We’ve said that Xbox One will be able to stream games through Windows 10 to the Rift, letting you play Xbox One games in your own virtual reality cinema. This means you can play your favorite Xbox games on a cinema screen in VR – it will be like playing games in your very own theater. We have nothing further to share at this time”

So you need Windows 10 PC unless MS allows native connection to OR within Xbone in the coming months.

Well actually it does work with the xbox just not how you’d expect a VR experience to be because oculus was designed solely for the pc really and neither console has the power to run it unless you go back to 90’s graphics. MS hasn’t BS’ed about anything, they’ve shown what it’s going to be used for and I think its a waste of time. Sony had to engineer a bag of tricks to make it’s VR work and its going to be very expensive at launch. I wouldn’t expect a price drop for at least a year so people may want it but can’t afford it so MS can see if VR is really going to take off and if it does engineer there own bag of tricks to make it work that way only minimal amount of money lost.
