hmmm doubtful, i think a 980 TI could come within 4 months to beat the 780Ti they usually wait for a year BUT i think both companys are waiting for 20nm to release the proper powerhouse GPU;s i reckon the bermuda xtx core from AMD could be a monster on 20nm, and i think nvidia are doing the same or nvidia and AMD might just jump straight to 16nm.

The reason i think 980Ti will come alot sooner is becuase its not worth upgrading to, theres no big power jump, its miniscule at best. I really wanted enjoy project cars, and witcher 3 etc at max setting but they arent the games i want a beefy GPU to power so ill wait and run em on high instead

i personally dont think a 780 will be enough for SC at max 1080p 60fps. They were originally targetting a 780 but with all the extra funding and insane detailing, the M50 racer 100,000 polys sure not much but has 12 layers of 4K textures... thats the LOD there going for across the whole game. thats why im going wait till the 20nm GPU's i doubt even a 780Ti will cut it... need some xtreme power just to make sure :D

my next full build will be 2016/7 will be 6/8 core (new haswell 6 core+28 lane £300, 6 core+40 lane £450 8 core £750) 4core bout £240) so 8 core intels i think may be affordable by then pends what AMD does with its next proper CPU architecture which is brand new and rebuilt form the ground up ppl speculate its going go SMT route which is same thing that hyperthreading does. then got Nvlink DDR4 cheap ( CPU has to support NVlink to, Pascal GPU think im going spend between £1500-2500 pends if i decide go 4k. if 4k i think ill still need 2 GPU's and a 4K screen

I'm aiming more at the 780 gtx level with between 4 and 6 gigs of vram. That paired with the new Intel CPU with support for ddr4

well 280x runs arena comander at like 50 fps very high, but itll tank when your in highly detailed areas like landing zones and that. good way of finding out is 1 with the murray cup racetrack, youll be planetside, 2 with fps module coming soon after pax australia

i wouldnt be able run it, well maybe next year when i get a better GPU i think the 980 and 295 are going be a waste of time unless its a massive upgrade over your existing card. Better to wait the real Power increase cus itll be pathetic

Me too. I would have bought a DK2 but I know my current PC would just laugh at me and run at 10 fps. Be nice if they said when the consumer version was coming...even if they said something like summer 2015 just so I can plan for it
