Yeah, that’s exactly what I was trying to say.. out of all the studios they are helping and making deals with and believing in.. you would think atleast a few of them hit it big, and out of those few.. 1 or 2 might just sign on to be full time big hitters for Sony.. Who knows? It could just be a new entry point into the medium.

Sony not only locked up SF V but even Ultra SF 4! That’s nuts how Capcom gave them that too! I mean atleast port over a last gen game to the X1. Wow. That move right there really got to me cuz I love SF. Anyway, kudos to Sony, and I guess Capcom is being well funded now. Oh well. Just a game

Not trying to sound like a jerk but i think Sony made a damn good move with SF5.I still hate SquareEnix,i think MS was smart picking up that game to compete with UC4.The end result will be something like 2-1 maybe 3-1 in favor of UC4.Still MS did something good for their user base.Sony did a great thing for their user base with SF5,playing Ps4 vs Pc will be awesome.

I think you have way too much faith in Phil.I look at all the first party studios Sony has and imagine so many good-great exclusives.I am glad to see MS finally getting first party support but Sony has a big lead in that department.Also everyone has different taste in games like right now i really don’t want to play any exclusives on Xone besides FH2.

I think 2015 is Ps4,that said MS has done a amazing job.I just want to see Sony stick around for more Playstation.

I don’t think they will with phil Spencer running the show. After j Allard left during the 360 era Don Mattrick has full say in everything and that guy doesn’t give a damn about gaming.

The original vision for the Xbox was to replace WebTV as Microsoft’s Trojan horse into the living room and that was fine when media eqs secondary but Mattrick took it to an extreme.

Spencer has always and will always be about gaming. There’s a lot of money to be made in media no doubt but there is just as much in gaming and the Xbox does both really well. Neither console is particularly powerful but its what we got for a while so all we can ask is they make the best of it.

Ur well on point there. I was thinkin the same recently. Independent devs just wanna build up a sizable studio where they can just do deals with the platform holders, without being handcuffed on the creativity front. And also keepin their IP……..aka CD Project Red.

However, once some of them succeed on their smaller games, and grow more in size, to fit developement demands, more of these guys will go multi-plat, and less exclusive. So for me Indie studio exclusivity doesn’t hold my attention, atm. But, the good news is that Sony’s playing a big role in helping dudes grow. There has to be atleast a couple mature, single or double A Indie Studios in years time. Bang

Eventually even small Indie studios can turn into AAA studios.. at least that would be my assumption to where all the Indie studios or well.. most are wishing to take their creative abilities.. I think they would want to use the money they receive for their game they make, and in return use that money as an investment into their next venture.. eventually leading into a bigger / better game. Plus, you never know when the next “Hideo Kojima” is in your presence.
