Nintendo has virtually no online community in an age where social networking is in every device. The Internet can be a crude place for Nintendo’s target audience and I’d hate for my child to play Super Mario online co-op with a loud racist call of duty kid, so it’s easy to understand why Nintendo has opted to take the route that they did, but times are changing and with the WiiU they’re going to have to find a way to connect players socially while protecting children from the mature gamers.
