Marginal my ass.

Right ps3 having the last of us which looks WORSE than tomb raider and remember me on pc is proof of that.

Bf3 running on ps3 on low settings and crysis 3 and metro last lgiht runing UNDER the lowest settings is proof of that.

Sorry
but the truth is after 2 years, pc graphics continue to improve thus
you needto ugprade, console graphics are stuck, so you think its
optimization but in reallity you are playing on inferior settings.

Apparently running bf3 on high with a 4 year old pc is a small enchancment when ps3 runs it on LOW.

Nope you are wrong.

"But as has been proven with the PS3, the more time developers spend with

DDR5 is not off the table, there just isn't any reason to create a new standard on top of DDR4 at the moment. DDR4 wasn't planned when DDR3 was announced either.

HMC is not a viable alternative as development costs would be absolutely insane for AMD and Intel. They would be better off implementing 8-channel DDR4 IMCs than a complete redesign of IMCs to support HMC.

The only form of efficiency a new GPU has over an old GPU is thermal. The operational costs are the only variables at locked output.

I'm guessing you are talking about the fact the PS4 GPU has 64 VLIW clusters, which is already behind the curve compared to the 80 present in the mid-range 7870 (150 on newegg).

I don't get where you get '2' command buffers from for PC, or 16 for Xbone... Care to explain?

Mantle APi is supposed to bring great performance. DDR4 RAM is coming (which wil be the last of it's kind. Will be replaced by HMC in a few years), GDDR6 is coming, And if Nvidia is not bullshtting us with stacked DRAM tech capable of 1TB/s bandwidth (which is about four times the memory bandwidth GTX Titan!!) , then Volta is going to be a very powerful MONSTER!! PS4 and hardware will be stuck as it is now. But man PC hardware will evolve this gen like never before. Can you believe that in 2-3years GTX Titan will be nothing more than a crap low-end GPU card, compared to what's coming?

I can output 120fps on my PC but my TV only has 60fps...
Some 4k TVs currently only support 20 frames per second in 4k, no joke.

Your 2009 PC GPU is nowhere near as efficient with its flops as a newer PC GPU; and then you have to take into consideration the fact that consoles inherently make more efficient use of the same hardware and on top of that you have to take into account hardware customisations and increasing efficiency due to time spent with unique hardware.
