Atlus’s Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, like its turn-based RPG brethren, will have New Game Plus mode. However, it seems that completing the story won’t be enough to unlock. According to new details in this week’s Famitsu magazine, you’ll need to take on The Reaper.
The Reaper will be very familiar to Persona fans – it’s cropped up throughout the series as a powerful optional boss. In Persona 5 Scramble, you’ll need to complete different side quests (which can also yield new Personas for fusion) to eventually discover The Reaper. Once it’s felled, New Game Plus becomes available and all of your equipment, items and progress will carry over.
On top of this Zenkichi Hasegawa aka new character Wolf will be playable. New Personas can also be fused and players can choose to play the “Risky” difficulty. This is the hardest difficulty in the game but it can also increase drop rates for stat-boosting items.
Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers releases in Japan on February 20th for Nintendo Switch and PS4. A demo will be available on the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop in Japan on February 6th so stay tuned for more details.
