Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth Sees Persona 3 Portable’s Female Protagonist Play Big Role in the Story

Take your heart by reaching out for the truth and burning your dread.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth was announced for the Nintendo 3DS earlier this week, and it frankly looks to be fan service: the game. Bringing together the full casts of Persona 3, 4, and 5, including the female protagonist from Persona 3 Portable who has otherwise never appeared in any other game, it looks like the perfect celebration of all things modern Persona.

Famitsu recently shared (via Siliconera) more information about what players can expect from the game, and it sounds largely great. First off, all 28 characters from the three modern Persona games will be playable, and unlike in Persona Q, you don’t need to a protagonist from one of those games on your team- you can mix and match. Also unlike Persona Q, there will be only one main route to follow this time, which focuses on the Phantom Thieves.

More pertinent for fans of Persona 3 Portable‘s female protagonist, she shows up in the main story, and actually has a major role to play in the proceedings- though what that role may be is currently unclear.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth launches exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS on November 29 this year in Japan. A western release has not yet been made.
