When Phil took over, it was like the second coming of Xbox One. They were on the comeback, now with all the PC unification and the closure of the few internal Microsoft owned studios I have a feeling this might be the last gen that we see Microsoft in the console race.

“Microsoft’s move to shutter Lionhead was just the latest in a long line of signs the company isn’t committed to the Xbox One or gaming in general.”

“He first replied that Xbox One is critical to the company’s future. He then made it clear that his entire reason for being with Microsoft is to oversee the Xbox One and its continued growth.”

So critical to the companies future that they are releasing the UWP, which ends exclusives for Xbox, which is going to hurt/kill console sales. But, they know that. They are playing dumb. Then they expect people to buy their consoles when releasing the Xbox like the apple does iPhones?

Their stock is down.
They’re closing down game studios.
They’re ending exclusives with UWP.
All signs point to the death of Xbox.

For the sake of gamers everywhere Microsoft, just stop. You know this isn’t a popular move. This is almost as good an idea as ‘always online’… Stop.

Microsoft = Sega.
