No not really. There is a huge misconception about the price of PC gaming and how much of a hassle it is.

Price wise, you would be amazed at what 500-600 bucks will get you. Granted a PS4/XB1 is cheaper initially, but not by much. You factor in peripherals, higher average game prices, paying for online play (which by the end of the consoles life you will have spent several hundred dollars on, which personally I would rather buy a new GPU every few years then pay to use the internet that I already pay for) it really starts to even out quick.

As far as upgrading goes, there is a difference between a need to upgrade and a want to upgrade and in most cases it is the later. My last upgrade was definitely a want not a need, I could have gone another 2+ years before ‘needing’ to upgrade.

As for mods, I think you are confusing them with hacks. Mods are a great feature that can add new life to games. Mods are amazing. You should visit ModDB sometime, and look at some of the amazing mods that exist, its one of the main reasons PC is my preferred platform.

Finally driver updates have gotten to the point where (for Nvidia anyway i’m not sure about AMD) they are completely automated. Update ‘hassal’ is a thing of the past, and really a non issue these days.

I have no problems with people gaming on consoles, infact I do it myself. I play on all platforms (other then Nintendo/wii) because I feel it gives me the best possible gaming experience that way. Its all just preference and at the end of the day you should game on the platform that you prefer. But don’t go spreading misconceptions about PC.

Best advice is to ignore him, No one will listen to him anyway, he thinks he knows all but we all know he is upset because the poor dumb bastard order a Xbox one. Plus he has no support on his claim so ignore and let his smelly asshole keep talking.

First of all planetside 2 graphicas re impressive for f2p,but its not a graphical masterpiece by far.

BF3 beats it easilly.

You do not buy ps4 for planetside 2, Who on his logical mind buys a console for a f2p game? Especially if you ahve the pc version?

Ps4 wont be able to run it at ultra, not becasue the game is demanding but because it cant handle the higher antialising settings nor supports physxs and dx11 tesselation techiniques.

unclesam, you are going to love this game when it hits the ps4. cant wait myself to see if the ps4 crowd really take to it. which they should after MAG on the ps3. best game released in years.

i spent 700euro last week on a pc to run planetside 2 on ultra.

the ps4 will easily handle this game on max settings, all it will boil down to is the resolution of peoples tv screens.

im buying a ps4 just for planetside, its the only reason im getting a next gen console.

if you saw the game on ultra you would see it has some of the best graphics on any platform/game. hell it makes battlefield 3 look and play like garbage.

I made one comment, some sony fanboy gone around to convince everyone that killzone 4 plays so awesoem with duallshock 4. Which is pure advertizing, console gamesr are oblivious to pc, its like trying to convince mac/iphone user to give windows/samsung a chance.

Hooray if pc is soooooooooo better you don’t even need to tell these people that it’s better. If you need to put mutliple comments saying pc is better. That means your losing and your trying to find facts. And by doing that your advertising that the pc is better. Even though it’s not.
