Not at all. Yes, PUBG is fun, and I’ve had some tremendous sessions with it, but 2017 has really been one of gaming’s very best. So many incredible titles.
As an owner of the 3 main consoles, I can guarantee that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will take out the 2017 GOTY. The *only* way it can’t is if Super Mario Odyssey splits the vote and it goes to something like Horizon instead.
I’m no fanboy of any particular console, I just love gaming. But Nintendo has honestly blown it out of the park this year with not 1, but 2 of the greatest games of all time with BOTW and Odyssey. All within about 8 months from Switch’s launch. Really happy for them and their success.
