PlayStation 4 Arrival Will “Boost Retail Sales” According to GAME

Get the future now. Or something.

UK retailer GAME is currently taking pre-orders for Sony’s next generation PlayStation 4 console, which are doing quite well according to category director Charlotte Knight.

Speaking to Videogamer, Knight stated that, “We moved really quickly to get our PlayStation 4 pre-orders up and live and we saw a huge amount of excitement right from the word ‘go’. Our PlayStation 4 pre-orders are performing very well so far”.

She also reported seeing “incredible excitement and interest” from consumers. Also, GAME was quite happy about Sony’s decision to continue supporting physical media based games and pre-owned titles.

Knight also stated that the arrival of the PlayStation 4 will “boost retail sales. Despite not actually seeing the device, the impressive hardware specs and incredible-looking games were more than enough to convince fans to secure their console and avoid disappointment when it launches.”

Sony’s PlayStation 4 will retail during the 2013 Holiday season. It will launch with Killzone: Shadow Fall, DriveClub and Watch_Dogs.
