Well sorta,it does have to do with advertisement. It’s like a car commercial when they have to say not all features on the car shown in the ad are included.They changed it because XB1X started taking pre-orders and showing commercial spots claiming it was the only full 4k console on the market. It’s so there’s no confusion because alot of people still don’t know the difference between a PS4 and a Xbox One.

Its now advertised as a dynamic 4k machine wonder why they changed there advertisements seems they didn’t want to end up in court again for false advertising

It streams 4k movies(4k streaming players are still called 4k machines even before UHD players existed) ,it plays games in 4k(checkerboard or 30fps,it doesn’t matter). The PS4 Pro IS a 4k machine no matter who says they aren’t and that is a fact.Video games don’t come on a UHD Bluray disc,does that mean they aren’t 4k games? No it doesn’t. A car is still a car regardless if it’s sports car or not.

Yeah there’s different versions of HDR,one was called Dolby Vision.I remember from PS4’s launch that it had limited 4k streaming capability but what I don’t know where it was applicable until they announced HDR was going to be updated to every PS4.

U missed the 4k bit. The PS4 hasn’t got true hdr it uses hdmi 1.4

Yeah because HDR is a simple update and doesn’t require it being built in.The OG PS4 even got updated with it and HDR wasn’t available in 2013 except for cameras.
