Take that into consideration with the fact that the 360 has been selling for an additional year and it’s easy to see how the report holds up."

sorry, Error : that is Q3 2011 shipped = 6.5, though i would imagine thqat would be where 2012 would be also, for the past 3 year’s Sony has not shipped below 6 million for that sales Quarter.

Stop changing the source fanboys, its SHIPPED not sold. PS3 units sold is still third. PS3 sold 70m units in November, neither Sony or Microsoft jumped up 6-7 million units since then.

I am happy for Sony and this has great implications for the next generation. Sony is a brand that innovates with things such as Blu-Ray so when they succeed, everyone succeeds.

Considering both consoles have been out for 6-7 years or however long, its not much of an achievement to be overtaking the competition this late in the products life-cycle. But good on Sony, I’m glad they made it through.

To be completely honest, I genuinely believe PlayStation(SONY) deserve it FINALLY. And I hope this will keep up in the next generation.
