"Definitely no visual downgrade of graphics since then! We put that particular area in sunset instead of sunny time of day so that it matches the mood of narrative better."

what are you on about, when has using GPGPU got anything to do with watching a trailer? i was saying GPGPU will get used more in games/game engines becuase the consoles are using it now.... -1 for making up a complete fabrication of what i was saying

it does seriously, particle effects are very strenuous on any system, cant remember why but they just are but they can alos look very very good. Stuff in infamous does look really good especially the neon stuff so having that amount of particles it doesnt take up bandwidth it takes up GPU power thats the problem, very GPU intensive. Not knocking the game at all it does look fun im saying that as with everything it doesnt have unlimited amounts of power but this gen theyve kept costs low cus of economic climate and also low enough so people can afford it. Cus cost of living goes up whilst rise in wages doesnt reflect that. It is an upgrade to the PS3 definately but if they made a PS4 for $500, that extra $100 would be blowing away alot of high end PC's not the best obviously but prolly have a 4teraflop GPU in putting out 8 TFLOPS (consoeloptimisation) but then again would need to up the bandwith to about 280-320GB/s (adds cost) ROPS are fine dont know how many shaders it comes with, high end AMD have 128 shader i think not sure if its that amount across the board hmm so maybe it would cost more then depends if the CPU is upto the task of feeding that much info.

Costs could sky rocket. the again if its a 5 year cycle then its fine really i reckon if they keep the same architecture and design just boost power there no reason why games such as infamous couldnt get a hig res texture pack as a download and boost an old games gfx to the PS5's version

Funny you talk about encoding video but can't tell using a 720p 2k bitrate youtube video isn't a good comparison to a 1080p direct feed trailer.

Of course that doesn't stop the dumb as rocks rabid animal fanboys from going berserk.
