Well you got to figure 2 things. One its a new platform and its x86 so old code is no good. Two they spent time making tools and writing the OS so features and apps will.eventually come later. It's the price early adopters pay sadly

Yeah I've only tried one app and one game, but I think that's the best it can do right now. To be honest, I think that should probably be good enough for Sony. Lol!

Would like to see them add friend notifications and appear offline next, but give you the option to turn-off notifications if you don't want them. Also DLNA would be nice. Can't believe how many features the PS4 is missing compared to the PS3.

It is very reliable. The xbox saves some stuff to the drive and keeps alot in memory. It's broken up into virtual machines so they have more wiggle room than Sony. Its also why the xbox can run 3 apps and a game at once.
Although if the power goes out its all gone and the Xbox needs a full slooooooooow boot. Takes like a min or 2. Ugh

Thanks for the video. I'm not questioning the delay though. Also PS4 now does the same as you did with the xbone menu as PS4 is resuming games while using the system for other things.

What I'm stating is "PS4 clearly starts GTA V under 6 seconds" and "GTA V Suspend/Resume time on Xbone takes about 16-17 seconds"

If you turn off your Xbone with GTA V count the time it takes to be back up on dash? PS4 from Off to on is under 10 sec- Xbone over 16 sec- ( but from dash PS4 is 6 sec- ) what's Xbone?

So now shut down your Xbox and bring it back up to play GTA V and you'll see PS4 is faster?

Yeah, right. Now hibernation (the one where the OS writes the RAM image to disc) isn't a true suspend/resume feature. It is actually the most reliable one. It's what OS X does before a Macbook runs out of battery. Otherwise there is the sleep mode, when you close the lid. But the PS4 has no battery, so it would even make sense to hibernate instead of sleeping.

What a waste of time for a test. Why instead don't they measure the power consumption? It's the thing that matters the most in a suspend feature.

And yes, electric bills are expensive here where I live.
