can you explain how you know the scorpio won’t do 4k gaming?

That mock-up looks similar to PS2 crossed with PS4.

I’m currently testing out the vizio p 55-c1 in my game room because it was touted as the superior gaming tv.

Now those are nice tv’s. 🙂 Color me envious. lol

By 4k you mean 4k movies, right? 4k Blu-Ray…maybe yes.
Just an FYI, you will NOT get 4k games. Neither will Scorpio. Screen shot/non-moving games don’t count as real 4k. lol
HDR should be on board as well as 1080p with rock solid frame rates. Hoping for HDMI 2.0+ AND 4:4:4 support.
Scaling up from 1080p should be ok but it will depend on which device is doing the scaling. Ex: PS4 or Receiver or TV.
Also, the quality of the scaling device and the quality of the TV will impact the image. Not all electronics are equal.
Check http://www.rtings.com for quality reports on TV’s.
Purchase a low latency/input lag free 4k tv that actually has great motion.
