Microsoft isnt one huge wallet where the different divisions have the capacity to simply allocate money from the collected total, and since it has other divisions that are making a lot of money for them, they are more likely to close down the ones that arent up to snuff. Sony on the other hand NEEDS Playstation to survive, so their more likely to spend whatever it takes to ensure it will, or the entire company is dead.

they certainly have more assets than Sony in any way or means, seriously MS makes software for computers and now hardware, they have massive amounts of budget money beccause the xbox was included in one of their most profitable hardware divisions.

Not necessarily. You need to stop viewing MS as a business thats willing to give everything it takes to make sure one of its products succeed. There are definite limits to how much they will spend to get the money flowing, and the Xbox division is no different. In fact, Its far more likely that Sony would devote more money into making its most profitable product succeed since its the only thing making it an electronic superpower these days.

Sony might be struggling horribly in its other product lines, but the PS4 has turned out to be its flagship, and its not going to let its biggest bread winner to become moldy bread. It wouldnt surprise me if they had planned on a neo-vr co-launch, but its become far too easy for these game companies to delay their launches. They could use the sept 7th date to impress people with whats to come with the Neo, and then push it back to next years holiday season as well.

I’ve had many PC’s over the years.
Short answer…easier to spend $400 on a console every three years than deal with the driver/windows/hardware incompatibilities and >$ every 2 years when using a PC. Console ‘it justs works’ rate is a 98% for me. PC “it needs a patch/update/tweak” rate is about 50%.

Mean while P$4 Neo is same framerates and same textures at 1080P upscaled for $599
