or Sony waited with official release until 8GB GDDR5 memory was available… (improved parts will always be made available, especially if a big customer ask for it)

The ESRAM was the consequence of the used DDR3 RAM. The time the Xbox One was designed GDDR5 was only available up to 4GB. MS decided against GDDR5 because they thought it wouldnt be available with 8GB by the planned release date. As you already know PS4 was designed with 4GB of GDDR5 memory because of the limitation. But after feedback from their inhouse devs and luckily 8GB GDDR5 got available just before the release of the consoles they changed their design last possible minute.

Its really not a question who was wrong or right, its a question of components and predicted market availability and design.

I never got into the power of the cloud because a) the cloud is available to everyone and b) devs have to utilize it.

Though MS has an advantage there as they own and operate their own successful cloud platform with Azure.

Well then the only reason not to copy the PS4 memory architecture is just that…
– We were wrong, Sony was right (and we mislead our loyal fans to believe ESRAM was the gratest thing ever. If anyone says “yes, but now it is not needed as GDDR5 memory are so fast” I would answer “yea, but now you could have add even faster and bigger ESRAM”)

But I guess Sony could just use The Cloud as there is no need for a faster console ;P

Oh! the same guys talking about the uncompressed pixels? because they are obviously idiots who only know about marketing. You could run 4k on almost any machine but personally I would much prefer a stable frame rate and all settings set to high/max instead of having everything turned down just to support native 4k. But its cool man, you enjoy spending 600 on a scorpio when you could get way more for your money with a PC 🙂

Worng Phil spencer said native 4k . Why would I listen to DF speculation? The guy helping make it said native 4k don’t waste your time linking some websites taking a guess thinking they know more than the guys that make it that’s just ridiculous so you are worng 🙂 .
