The gaming machine excuse is pure crap. If that is the case then just shut down the PS TV division now. Oh but wait they won’t because they know the PS4 is a media machine not just a gaming machine.

Thought it was about adressing the resolution and fps ?. Sony heard ppl whining over that and they address it with the more powerful PS4 Pro for $399.99. Now ppl crying about cheap a 4k movie player not being a gaming console. If the added that and the console cost$ 599.99. It would be whining about the price, lol

To be fair streaming is the way forward ( we know this much ) but truth is 4k UHD disc sales haven't been the best even when compared to Blu-ray disc sales which were behind DVD disc sales, so Sony made a choice to follow the streaming path which also keeps money down to the buyer for a games console while keeping in touch with the way for *Streaming*. The PS4-Pro up-scales Blu-ray to 4k anyway, and most people cannot tell the difference.

A lot of people are saying streaming is the way forward and that’s where Sony is heading…..so I’m wondering will those people be ok with the ps5 not having a 4K Blu-ray drive too?
