I think both companies have ended “console generations” to a degree more than the other, but timing exclusives is more imperative than ever before since the whole ecosystem STILL benefits despite a new hardware launch. Also, I too as per previous comment expect a 3 year cycle but wouldn’t be surprised if 4 the next decade. By then we just might be carrying our hardware with us. 😉

At this rate Sony should be worried about it’s bottom-line, they might go the route of Sega and Atari except I believe Sony can be a publishing powerhouse in it’s own right. They are still bleeding cash as we type.

Huge difference between PlayStation and Xbox when it comes to Exclusive games, u get a very small lousy list of Exclusives from Xbox Compared to PlayStation, Seriously who Is gonna care for Crackdown 3 And Sea Of Thieves In 2018 when u know that Spider-Man And God of War 4 are launching. Xbox has always been known for Xbox Live And PlayStation has always been known for their Exclusives. PlayStation is absolutely destroying Xbox when it comes to Sales, FanBase and Exclusives and I don’t see that ever changing.

These Analysts all have their own view on things, Microsoft said a while ago Xbox One X isn’t a Mid Gen Console like PS4 Pro And is it’s own thing. Ubi Soft CEO said a while ago that Next Gen is launching in a minimum of 2 years. It’s very Obvious to me PS5 is launching Fall 2019 And The Next Xbox Fall 2020.
