PS4, Xbox 720 And Wii U: Next Generation Gaming Round Up

We have a lot of next-gen news and rumours for you this week starting with the Wii U price point. GT’s editor-in-chief Shane Satterfield has revealed that the Wii U will cost $300.

His sources were “certain channels”, and logically when you think about it, the price point makes the most sense. It’s rumoured to launch at 30,000 Yen in Japan, which brings the western price to $300 as well.

In Xbox related news, it seems production has began according to this report by ThisisXbox.

“Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business, the group responsible for the rich set of entertainment products like Xbox 360, Xbox Live, Zune Marketplace, and more – are hiring. In looking for a new Senior Finance professional, the new job posting gives hints that the retail next-gen Xbox is about to hit the production line,” the site writes.

Nowgamer reports that, Nintendo Wii U Price In September, Could Face PS3, Xbox Cuts.

Nintendo still has yet to slap a price or release date on the Wii U, but that could change in September according to EEDAR analyst Jesse Divnich. “I would expect Nintendo to make some form of an official announcement in September,” Divnich told NowGamer. “Likely around (but not at) the Tokyo Game Show.”

Not a lot of PS4 news this week but stay tuned to GB.
