I agree, they're being awfully suspicious about X1's resolution.

At the same time I do remember reading the article where Albert Penello of Microsoft said that he's not told anything regarding Third-party quality/control/resolution/specs and that M$ deals with their divisions secretively, likely to avoid leaks through which Sony can be more notorious to have happening with them.

That means he's either bullshi*ting people and telling us Microsoft is deliberately disorganized or it's damage control and they're trying to hide facts away as much as possible, delaying as long as possible, hoping the people that are the most sheep-like that have 'Faith' in Microsoft, who may be upset upon hearing the truth and to have them buy the launch editions and they want to keep the silence until then or so.

I'd rather have faith that Sony understands this business and knows what the average gamer and hardcore gamers want without having to TELL you what you want or tell you what they think you want.

KZSF on PS4 is 30FPS in SP campaign and 60FPS in multiplayer and the whole game runs at 1080p. Also, COD:Ghosts is 1080p on PS4 and 720p on Xbox One (although I'm still pretty sure that is has still NOT been confirmed by MS or COD devs, the fact that they haven't disputed the rumors pretty much says that COD: Ghosts runs at 720p on XB1, which is a HUGE downer for Xbox One fans). #PS4FTW

The optimised performance of the PS4 is reported by Sony to be around 3.6TF's. The PS4 is by no means unable to handle things for itself. Look at the PS3 - it is considered the most underpowered piece of junk by PC gamers like you and with its "specs" it's able to produce games like Beyond: Two Souls and The Last of Us.

You clearly know nothing about technological innovation and diffusion. Cars, computers, and microwave ovens were, like all new technology, outside of the masses' reach. As innovation progresses, costs decreased and adoption increases (further driving down the price). Illumiroom is in the alpha stages if development, and is thus expectedly out of reach for mainstream adoption. It will get there in a few years despite your naively obtuse understanding of the market. I guarantee you that.

Illuminiroom got cancelled so hard because no one would pay anything for a gimmicky projector that provides an awful image. MS is better off wasting its time and money on Fortaleza and even then Sony's VR project will kick the crap out of it.

Sorry to break it to you, but it's not dead, Einstein. Work on your reading comprehension skills. It's just too expensive to be released anytime soon. I guarantee you some version of the illumiroom will be released in the future. It may take 5 or 10 years, but it will come, all thanks to Microsoft pushing the bar, and no thanks to complacent Sony trying to milk the status quo.

Do some research: Illuminiroom is dead. http://www.theverge.com/2013/9/2/4685178/microsoft-illumiroom-xbox-projector-unlikely-to-be-released

Yeah, I sure want me some discs. Nothing beats constantly getting up and opening the disc tray and taking out the old disc and putting in a new one every time I want to change games. And scratched discs are the best. I'm sure glad those will still be around. Physical media sucks. Having your entire library with you at all times, being able to share games digitally, being able to instantly hot swap between games using voice commands, and never losing a game (either by actually losing the disc or having it get damaged) is not a gimmick: it's awesome. Ask the music industry how well clinging to physical media works out. Also, you don't own the game whether on disc, on a hard drive, on a cartridge, etc. You never have. You've only ever owned the license to use it, not the game itself.

Kinect 2 is brilliant. Paired up with Illumiroom and Microsoft is changing the game forever. The amount of features it has over Sony's sad imitations is ridiculous. The gap is huge. Sony lost the war as soon as they decided not to bundle in the Eye/Toy/Want whatever they call their Kinect rip-off. Terrible decision by a desperate company who realized Microsoft had advanced the Kinect 2 leaps beyond what they had and, rather than trying to catch up, they went the other way: regression.

Single player games are boring. If I wanted to hole up in a room and play with myself I'd buy some Astroglide. Multiplayer is where it's at, and the Xbox Live network is light years ahead of PSN. Yes, I know Titanfall is coming to 360 and PC too, but we've already established that PC gaming sucks; the point is that the Xbox One version will be the best and it's not coming to PS4. I never said anything about Infamous or The Order; I don't even know what you're talking about. The point is that Sony fanboys have been having a frantic breakdown on the Internet over the past few months trying as hard as they can to justify the PS4 over the Xbox One. They realize that the Xbox One is simply much better: more innovative (especially with the Kinect 2 voice and gesture commands, hot swapping between games, Skype, IE, movies, TV, etc.), has more potential to grown (with the cloud computing backed up by the 300k servers Microsoft implemented), has a better online network and matchmaking service, and has better exclusive games. Sony fanboys see that and they're freaking out, trying everything they can to find a place where the PS4 is better, so they focus on specs, which makes them look even more naïve because the differences in specs are minute and, in the end, won't mean jack.
