Guy seriously? I own a play station but i can care less cause i barely ever use it. You guys are bashing sony for giving the DEVELOPERS an option to restrict their OWN games. So if i were sony and i were to give EA the option to restrict their own game, then you guys would bash on me? I mean seriously you are gonna bash on me cause i am giving the developer the option to restrict their own game. Its kind of like Sony is sells a gun to a man. Now the man shoots and kills another person with that same gun. Who is going to jail sony, the gun, or the man? If you are fanboys like i think you are you would say sony, even though sony didnt fire the gun, did it? This situation is like that. The developers are the man, the gun is restrictions, and jail is youre constant complaining that ps4 sucks because you have an xbox360. Also, like you are saying “you could go to youtube and watch the videos so whats the point of the restrictions.” Now if you are so dumb as to tell me “so what?” Well heres what, if you could go to youtube to watch the videos then why are you mad that you wont be able to watch the videos? GO TO YOUTUBE! Also the share button has many other uses, and the one thing you guys find a little unfair about the ps4 you bash. Well guess what, you are basically bashing it cause its not perfect. Well guess what microsoft’s console isnt perfect either, -.-, srry for my english and let the down votes fall bitches 😀

In reply to giddieon. A lot of Let´s play-videos on Youtube show the whole gameplay of a game and there is nothing wrong about it. If people want to make a kind of manual to get through the game and help other players, they should be allowed to do so.

Actually Sony isn’t restricting anything, they made the option available to let the game developer do it themselves, to let them sleep at night, Sony gave them a gun; they are the ones that have to learn how to use it for their benefit or to commit suicide.
I mean the developers can’t be that stupid, they may not want to restrict the final boss battle but they may want to restrict the ending of the games which seems pretty reasonable to me.

from the sounds of things the limitations are only there if the game maker wants them to be. So theoretically Sony are still allowing anything to be shared, but at the same time covering themselves by giving the maker the option of blocking content.

Sony will work hard around the clock to work around the limitations to keep their community happy as well because Sony knows if they do anything drastic that may majorly upset their community the community will make it known to sony so no worries yet.

limiting things like cut scenes makes sense, but restricting gameplay segments (outside of things like in-game tutorials or those terrible dream sequences from me3) is stupid. Hopefully developers utilize this well. Keeping videos spoiler free, or warning about if they are present, should be on the community, not the game makers.

As long as I can share the many crazy moments that happen in games like GTA and RDR then I don’t mind.

Also sounds like these limits would only apply to single player, and I think it’s safe to say that multiplayer videos are more popular than single players, except for walkthroughs of course.

But this is gamingbolt so let’s ignore anything positive and talk about how this will be the death of Sony. Bring on the downvotes bitches.
