For roughly half a decade now, Rainbow Six Siege has been an ongoing title. Originally launched on the current, ending generation of consoles, it was not released in the best state. Over the years, however, Ubisoft has worked to build it into a great experience. Now, as a new gen dawns, Siege is going stronger than ever and it’s coming natively to these new systems.
It was announced earlier in the year that the games would be coming to next gen hardware, even confirming options for 4K/60 FPS and dynamic 4K/120 FPS. Now Ubisoft has confirmed it will come at the beginning of December for both Sony and Microsoft’s new machine. Via the PlayStation blog, we also got some new feature details for the PS5 version, specifically it having support for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on the DualSense controller and Activity Cards for jumping in and out quickly of events.
Rainbow Six Siege is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game will release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on December 1st. If you own a current gen copy, you will get an upgrade to the next gen version in your respective console family for free.
