Rayman Legends, originally intended as a launch title for the Wii U when the system launches next month, has been delayed by Ubisoft to next year. There must be quite a drastic lag in development, considering the intended release of the game is merely weeks away.
“Rayman Legends will launch worldwide in the first quarter of 2013,” a Ubisoft rep told MCV. “We’re happy that fans are excited about the game, and we are taking the time to make sure we deliver a game that lives up to and hopefully exceeds their expectations. We’ll have more details to share soon.”
While the Wii U has lost a considerably significant launch title, the owners still have the likes of Mario, Pikmin, The Wonderful 101, Epic Mickey and Batman: Arkham City to fall back on.
Stay tuned for more updates.
