It's pointless to sit here and weigh the merits of replay vs whatever. There are many different types of games for different types of gamers. The main consensus is to just have enough of them all on your platform for your customers to choose from. Try and cover the whole spectrum, the many different types of genres, and you're good. If you limit yourself to just focusing your efforts on serviceable online shooters, on weak console hardware, then you're in the uncomfortable position that Phil Spencer finds himself in now, by thinking that fixing the weak hardware problem is more important than fixing the lack of games problem.

YOU HAVE TO FOCUS ON BOTH AT THE SAME TIME.

People keep using the talking point that MS has tons of money to burn, as if it makes any damn difference whatsoever when that money is not being spent on fortifying the Xbox brand, and securing its future as a gaming platform. Why aren't they using all of this revenue to increase their gaming portfolio then? Why are they just focused on providing new hardware, and Xbox Live services?
