Resident Evil 2 Remake Will Be Better Than The Original – Hideki Kamiya

Resident Evil HD Remaster PS4

While Capcom is somewhat infamous for porting their Resident Evil games to anything with a screen, the already confirmed Resident Evil 2 Remake marks only the second time one of their titles has been given the actual ‘remake’ treatment, following on from the remake of the original game, which launched first on the Nintendo Gamecube and is the basis for all modern ports of that title.

We all know that Resident Evil 2 is getting the remake by now, however, and in a series of tweets from the game’s original director, Hideki Kamiya, which we have embedded just below, it seems like we can rest easy knowing that the game is in good hands. Kamiya might be best known for a number of series these days, but Resident Evil 2 was one of the first games Kamiya directed, and his influence stayed with the series long term.

Enjoy the trip below where Kamiya gives the current director his go ahead to do whatever he wants, believes the remake will outstrip his original title, and reflects on the time he worked on the game. Social media hints suggest that we should see some solid news on Resident Evil 2 Remake soon, and Gamingbolt will be reporting on it when that happens.
