Only one who made a huge mistake here was MS releasing a "mid-gen" upgrade a year after mid-gen for the same price the Xbone flopped at with compromises that render its purchasibility outside of a hardcore of Xgimps close to non-existence. MS is going to be playing third fiddle to Nintendo and Sony forever now. At least MS might be able to try and get Phil Spencer's cult extended to the whole company before they sunset the brand.

In reply to Mr Xrat. Next consoles are planed for 2020 (PS5) and 2021 (next xbox). Sony make a huge mistake with release very slow PS4 Pro last year. Now they don't have console which can compete with Xbox X. PS4 Pro is too slow and PS5 must be at least 3-4 years after Pro if they don't want angry Pro owners.

Unlikely. Both the Pro and Xbollox are little more than glorified upscalers for increasingly better televisions. Actual generational leaps aren’t coming for another 2-3 years, and the PS5 will likely herald it.

In reply to Holeybartender. Xbox One 2013 was 5.5x faster than Xbox 360 Xbox One 2017 is 4.6x faster than Xbox One 2013 PS4 Pro is only 2.3x faster than PS4 You see difference? Full generation is average 5x... half generation is average 2.5x This is reason why Sony said that their console is only "half generation" because they know that 2.3x is too little for full generation
