Absolutely brilliant game. As a gtsiariut (albeit not a very good one) I never had any interest in rockband / guitar hero, but this is a different story. The game is extremely well executed and fun to play. A few minor gripes, but nothing worth mentioning. But, I will advise against ordering the bundle. Only because my guitar arrived broken now I have to go through the lengthy return process. It was not adequately packaged and as a result it’s not surprising it didn’t survive the shipping. By all means buy the bundle from a shop (it’s quite good value), but don’t get it posted.

I’ve been hoping they’d come out with something like this. Guitar Hero is dead and I get tired of playing the old ones over and over; hearing the same songs repetitively.

Seems like they are only doing this cause Guitar Hero is dead. Using a real guitar sounds like a interesting idea though but I haven’t really been keeping up with any of these music games so maybe not original.

I guess Ubisoft wants a shot at this genre. A little too late, but I’m betting their main selling point is to advertise it as much as possible, considering it’s been done already.
They might change some things around though, and innovate. But if this is the only part that’s innovating, then it’ll flop.

thsi is not gonna work…as sad as it is for me to say, the music genre is dead. They killed it by over saturating the market. IGN had a good article on the Guitar Hero series shortly after it was cancelled. It said Guitar hero came out with approx. 20 games sinse GH1…way to kill it guys.

Was a lil surprised @ this announcement after the cancellation of GH & the drop in revenue of all music games. It is neat that u can use a real guitar on this 1 tho.
