It looks like budding game makers will soon be able to make some classic 16-bit styled RPGs on their Nintendo Switch and PS4. Amazon Mexico has put up a listing for RPG Maker MV for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 by NISA, continuing a long line of leaks and premature reveals for games leading into this E3.
The description talks about the suite being pretty full featured, and allowing players to upload their games online and share them with others, including those who may not own RPG Maker MV, as well. It is unclear whether the pool of uploaded games will be shared between the PS4 and Nintendo Switch, though judging by Sony’s cross platform policies, it will probably not be.
So, I assume this will be one of NISA’s announcements at E3 this year. Meanwhile, you can try out RPG Maker on PC, as well as a more limited RPG Maker FES on Nintendo 3DS.
