What do you think performance means? They're going to upgrade the performance to make it play smoother which means bug fixes. What would they even add dialogue to? It's free on the PC anyway so why do you care

Dragon Age: Inquisition has way too much filler garbage. Granted, the maps were huge and varied, the graphics were great and so was the story...but too much junk to do, just for the sake of doing it (artificially making the game longer). Nobody HAS to do all the extras, but if you're a completionist like me, it's a real pain. lol

I have Skyrim on PC too and have 372 mods installed - it looks phenomenal and has a ton more content than vanilla. Not everybody has been fortunate enough to have the mods and gaming PCs though...a lot of people have either been unable to afford it, were just to cheap to bother investing or preferred console. So the Special Edition will be the closest they'll get to experiencing what we have. It'll be sublime for them and the Special Edition is really mostly aimed at console players and they'll benefit most. Plus, I have no doubt there will be people picking it up that have never played it.

As for TES6...it'll be one long wait. I estimate 2028. Two huge game releases first, each as large (map wise probably and content wise) as an Elder Scrolls game or Fallout game. We are looking at many years until they even begin developing TES6.

Yeah, I got it through Steam. The Steam mod community has high-resolution packs for Skyrim for free. Doesn't seem worth it to repurchase the game just for some extra shine without fixing any of the problems or adding anything else.

So the only thing they're adding is just improved performance and graphics? No edits to content? No fixing broken quests? No added dialogue?

Then what's the point? Meh, I have it on PC. I have mods that made everything high-resolution.

Pass. Until they announce TES6. Which might be announced at the same time as Half-Life 3 at this rate.

Agreed. But even though it's the same game, but now with upgraded visuals, they won't do ever it. They're banking on people repurchasing the games for just the visual upgrades alone. GTAV taught them that lesson when the next gen consoles launched. It made billions and it is still charting.
