It makes sense? Why does it make sense? We could transfer game characters, which included game progress, from Borderlands 2 for the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One version. So why not here? Too much trouble for them? Despite Bethesda now hosting servers for mods on console versions of Fallout 4. They really couldn't enable this...?

Forget the IT geek stuff. You're a gamer. Just play the thing from the start and enjoy it. Stop trying to shortcut stuff and being proud of it like it's a good thing. You're doing yourself out of valuable gameplay. You are not being efficient in the workplace like it's your job.

Why would anyone pay £50 for a game and then use their PS3 save to take them directly to the end of the game. Surely if you buy the remaster you intend to get full value for money out of it and play the thing from the start so you see it all in a different light via the enhanced graphics.

The best part about Skyrim was the actual progress from zero to hero. Loading a save would bypass all that great gameplay. If the game is worth the effort to play, then play it. If not, save yourself some money and don't buy it.

My 650hr save got corrupted anyway and would not progress the DLC stories.

I'm glad about that, I want to be able to start over. I'll probably go back to my Xbox Skyrim every so often because it's fun being absurdly rich and having every skill at 100. Main reason I don't mind is so I can avoid any glitches that may have messed up my first game.

Well, as long as the glitch where you can level up by reading a book is still there.

I don't mind spending another hundreds of hours playing it again though :)

Have you actually tried it (moving a save from xbox Skyrim to PC Skyrim)? As long as you follow the very simple instructions, it actually works great. And all saves start vanilla before being modded.... The issue arises when you do it in reverse, or transfer a save with mods to one completely different mods. My point is yeah, some people have issues, but that usually comes down to an operator error as opposed to something inherently wrong with the process.

Putting it simply, no matter what Bethesda may try to implement such a feature, it would be inherently broken to the point of uselessness, sort of like transferring a PC save from a vanilla Skyrim to a modded Skyrim. Look up why that is not recommended. You should not do that even with older and newer versions of vanilla Skyrim let alone across console generations to an entirely new build!

I feel bad for everyone who wants to transfer their saves. I don't see why it's not possible. I recently transferred my Xbox 360 Skyrim save to my PC/Steam using Modio to convert it to a .ess file, it took seconds and there's nothing wrong with the save file.
